Artist Residency
The Romã residency offers visiting artists something rare: unhurried time, their own space, and materials to work. Away from routine, a change of scenery unlocks the work and lets a new environment shape what comes next.
Artists are invited to slow down and spend real time with reclaimed materials, listening for what they want to become.
The setting brings nature, craft, and architecture together, so the surroundings become part of the practice.
-
A one month residency built around mixed media, with space for open exploration. Places are kept small, with two artists per season, so each one gets real attention and a studio that feels like their own.
-
Private accommodation and 24/7 access to a fully equipped studio. Weekly one to one mentorship and professional feedback run through the whole stay, so there is real support alongside the space to work.
-
Meals and personal art materials are not included. We point every resident to the best local art stores to source paints and supplies, so the studio is ready from day one.
-
Send a portfolio and a short project proposal through Apply now. Places are limited, so early applications are encouraged.
